Innovation and Trust Drive Growth: Freudenberg‑NOK India Advances in the Two‑Wheeler Segment

  • 24. March 2026
  • 3 minute read

Freudenberg-NOK India and its key customer Endurance Technologies are expanding their business relationship in India. Unit volumes and sales of suspension seals for motorcycles are rising significantly. Two awards reflect this deepened partnership.

In India, motorcycles are far more than just a means of transportation. They shape traffic and form the backbone of individual mobility. Demand for motorized two-wheelers is correspondingly high, and the market is huge. Against this backdrop, it is hardly surprising that Freudenberg-NOK India supplies its customer Endurance Technologies every month in such high (million-unit) volumes as are otherwise only seen in the automotive industry.

Endurance Technologies manufactures a wide range of parts for renowned domestic and international two-wheeler manufacturers at numerous production sites in India. One of the company’s specialties is suspension and spring systems that absorb shocks, improve traction, and thereby enhance driving safety and comfort. Seals “made by Freudenberg-NOK India” contribute to this in the suspension fork. In simple words, the seal variants tailored to the respective motorcycle models ensure that dirt stays out and lubricants stay in – permanently, for consistently comfortable and stable rides.

“Over the past three years, we have doubled our monthly supply volume to Endurance Technologies from three to six million units. This growth is continuing throughout this year. Endurance Technologies is the largest customer worldwide for our Lead Center in the Recreational market segment, which includes the two-wheeler business,” says Dimitrios Tsituridis, Head of Product Marketing and Business Development at the Fluid Power Automotive Lead Center. At the same time, Freudenberg-NOK India was able to increase its share of these suspension seal deliveries from 50 to over 75 percent.

The two companies have formally sealed their partnership in writing. This is accompanied by a financial milestone: in 2026, the business relationship will have passed the double‑digit million‑euro revenue mark for the first time. This makes Endurance Technologies the largest customer of Freudenberg-NOK India.

Local for local

“We aligned our development activities with Endurance Technologies’ technology roadmap in a customer-focused manner, utilizing methods such as Value Analysis (VA) and Value Engineering (VE), and gained deep insights into the needs of our customer. This enabled us to offer Endurance Technologies tailor-made technological solutions in innovation projects and significantly increase our share of supply,” says Prabhu N, Marketing Manager at the Lead Center Fluid Power Automotive India, citing key reasons for the success. Proximity to the customer also gives Freudenberg-NOK India an advantage. The joint venture manufactures the seals locally on the Indian subcontinent, primarily at the Morinda site – short delivery routes and lead times thanks to “local to local.”

Two awards serve as unmistakable signs of this successful partnership. Both last year and this year, Endurance Technologies has honored Freudenberg-NOK India’s achievements with awards – prestigious recognitions presented at the Supplier Day, in the presence of all key suppliers. “The awards are the fruit of our long-standing, deep partnership,” says Govindaraajan S, Director Recreational, Sales General Industry India.

Award Ceremony 2026: Shashi Kumar, Competence Center Manager and Plant Manager at Morinda (2nd from right), and Sai Krishna Mannepalli, President of Freudenberg-NOK India (center), accept the award from the customer’s executives.

The 2025 award citation mentions, among other things, a shared commitment to excellence, collaborative work between the development teams of both companies, cost awareness, and win-win situations. “With this award, the customer recognizes how smoothly Freudenberg-NOK India has managed to increase its supply capacity for Endurance Technologies,” says Albert Polanowski, Sales General Industry.

Good collaboration shapes not only the customer-supplier relationship but also the internal processes at Freudenberg Sealing Technologies. For Endurance Technologies, Business Development at the Lead Center, Sales General Industry, and the site in India are all pulling together toward a common goal.

Rohit Sanghotra, Head – General Industry Sales, India:

“The Indian two-wheeler industry is one of the most competitive and demanding markets in the world. In this landscape, building long-term partnerships is essential. A strategic, multi-year business contract with a leading player like Endurance not only secures our position but also strengthens our long-term business sustainability,” says Rohit Sanghotra, Head of General Industry Sales, India.
