Freudenberg Sealing Technologies (FST) received the 2025 Supplier Quality Excellence Award from General Motors, recognizing the company’s performance and partnership at its Manchester Gaskets Lead Center.
The award recognizes suppliers that meet General Motors’ quality performance criteria and support production requirements over the course of a calendar year. The Manchester site was selected based on its delivery of products and its alignment with customer expectations during 2025.
The recognition was presented to Freudenberg Sealing Technologies Manchester Gaskets Lead Center, which manufactures gasket solutions used in powertrain and propulsion systems. The site supports production through manufacturing processes that meet customer specifications for quality and reliability.
Soeren Schmitz, Vice President, Lead Center Gaskets, said the award reflects the work carried out across the Manchester operation and coordination with General Motors. “This award recognizes the discipline and consistency our colleagues bring to daily operations,” Schmitz said. “It reflects how FST works together with General Motors to meet requirements and support production.”
General Motors issues the Supplier Quality Excellence Award to companies that demonstrate performance across a defined set of metrics. The recognition also reflects how suppliers maintain production standards and respond to changes in operating conditions over time.
Schmitz said maintaining quality performance requires ongoing coordination across teams and functions. “FST remains focused on meeting expectations and addressing challenges through established processes,” Schmitz said. “This recognition supports the work our teams carry out every day and reinforces our approach to supporting our customers.”
