Freudenberg Sealing Technologies (FST) will shift its distributor service model in Mexico in 2026 through an update to store operations and a new commercial alliance designating La Capital de Selladas Del Mundo (La Capital) as a Preferred Distributor in the country. The move aligns the Mexico distributor setup with the GI Sales & Services go to market approach for the local market and redirects resources toward simplified operations and broader distribution partnerships.
As part of this market‑specific adjustment, all Mexico store locations will close during 2026, with inventory at each site transferred to La Capital at the time of closure. La Capital will assume responsibility for local service to retail and local distributors, while FST will continue to focus on long‑term partnerships with regional and national distributors, OEM channels, and major MRO accounts. FST said the change is designed to support business continuity and ensure consistent service for customers across all segments.

Nadja Just, Vice President of the Industrial Services Division North America, said the change reflects a deliberate step toward a more scalable operating model. “Our alliance with La Capital allows us to support customers through a structure that meets local needs while advancing our global strategy,” Just said. “This approach reinforces our long term commitment to the Mexico market and strengthens the way we serve distributors, OEMs, and key accounts.”
There will be no disruption to product supply or central operations as the new model is implemented, and customers will continue to have access to FST’s full product portfolio. La Capital’s service network is expected to enhance local proximity and response capability, while the Rods and Tubes business and its related activities will be discontinued as part of the change.
As implementation progresses, FST is working closely with local teams to manage the process responsibly and respectfully, with employee communications and next steps handled directly and in accordance with applicable requirements.
This change reflects a Mexico-specific distributor model adjustment and does not affect the company’s broader organizational or operating structure outside the country. Nadja Just, Vice President of the Industrial Services Division North America, said the approach positions FST to strengthen distributor relationships in Mexico while maintaining a stable and consistent customer experience. “This plan supports our goal of serving distributors and customers effectively through a structure designed for the local market,” she said.
