Freudenberg Sealing Technologies has installed a photovoltaic system with 2,709 solar panels and an output of 1,263.62 kWp at Pinerolo, thus generating around 1,680,157 kWh of clean electricity, reducing energy purchases by 18% and saving around 478 tons of CO₂ emissions annually.
Freudenberg Sealing Technologies (FST) has taken a significant leap forward in its commitment to sustainability and innovation at its Italian site in Pinerolo. Recently, the company completed a comprehensive energy transition project centered around the installation of a state-of-the-art photovoltaic system in Pinerolo.
The ambitious project saw a total of 2,709 solar panels installed paired with eleven advanced inverters to ensure efficient energy conversion. The system boasts an impressive total power capacity of 1,263.62 kWp, enabling the site to produce approximately 1,680,157 kWh of clean electricity annually.

This transition is much more than a technical upgrade; it represents a substantial environmental impact. The deployment of solar technology has already led to an 18 percent reduction in energy purchases, directly decreasing the sites’ reliance on external, non-renewable sources. Most notably, the initiative is expected to prevent approximately 478 tons of CO₂ emissions each year, underscoring Freudenberg Sealing Technologies’ dedication to a greener future.
By embracing solar energy, the company not only reduces its carbon footprint but also sets a strong example for industrial sustainability in the region. This clear step toward clean energy demonstrates the organization’s decision to innovate responsibly and safeguard the environment for generations to come.
