Digitalization is one focus of the Freudenberg Sealing Technologies (FST) 2021–2023 strategy period. The goal is the digital transformation of the entire company across all value chains. For example, networked machines can autonomously order a transport robot to deliver supplies. They can also play a role in the automation of administrative processes.
FST is concentrating on specific strategic digitalization initiatives. The objective is to establish more efficient processes, reduce costs, create added value for customers, and generate higher revenue.
FST has set up a digitalization committee to coordinate these initiatives. It makes decisions which concrete trends and initiatives to pursue. Then it propels the programs forward. The committee is composed of six people from different disciplines.

George Molchan
He deals with the “networked factory.” If a digital infrastructure is operating in a factory, machine settings can be optimized based on the data, improving productivity. Modern analytical methods come into play in the process, and cybersecurity is simultaneously maintained.

Chad Bauer
His responsibilities involve developing innovations with digital features. Products and materials are networked digitally and modern analytical methods are used.

Melanie Kessler
She is responsible for e-commerce platforms and works with her team to create digital solutions that make next-generation customer interaction possible. Customers can make online purchases more easily with more fully developed sales solutions.

Heike Brüggemann
She promotes excellent business processes from beginning to end. They promise productivity increases in sales and administration by reshaping processes and, in some cases, automating these areas through the use of artificial intelligence.

Jürgen Noll
His work involves the further development of employee skills that digitalization requires while promoting a new culture of cooperation. Employees continue to be at the center of these efforts; teamwork is geared to future needs.

Vicky Jandreau
She is responsible for Lean/GROWTTH and sustainability. With the help of continuous improvement methods, business processes can be analyzed and optimized. They also support the digitalization process.
