Once a year, technical managers from the Fluid Power division realign their compass with the aim of closely linking technological developments and strategic direction.
From October 6 to 8, 2025, technical managers and experts from different Lead Centers of the Fluid Power division gathered in Hamburg to discuss current technological trends, strengthen cooperation, and set the course for the future.
Strategic orientation and technological impulses
Key items on the agenda included a presentation by Jan Witte, Senior Vice President Fluid Power, on the division’s strategy and a presentation and discussion of the technology roadmap. These strategic assessments serve to systematically plan future technologies, materials, and processes and align them with the corporate strategy.
“The strength of our organization lies in the combination of technical expertise and strategic clarity,” says José Queiruga, Vice President Technology for the Fluid Power division. “When everyone knows where our company and division are headed, we can act in a coordinated, efficient, and market-oriented manner.”
There was also a strong focus on new products and materials, as well as process optimization, which were discussed intensively. Topics such as sustainability, machine standards, and project management were also examined with a view to future growth.
Digitalization and talent development
Another focus was the role of digitalization – particularly with regard to artificial intelligence and its potential for technical advancement. Additionally, strategies for retaining talent and cultivating skills were discussed to prepare the organization for future challenges.
A visit to Airbus provided exciting insights into innovative production methods. Afterwards, the Hamburg team presented the production of large-format shaft seals and their new test bench.
In addition to the technical content, team spirit was fostered through joint activities that strengthened the exchange of ideas and laid the foundation for closer cross-location cooperation.
