Our September issue is devoted to the digital transformation taking place across all the Freudenberg Sealing Technologies (FST) value chains. For example, what does digitalization mean for innovation and development? How far has the company come with the infrastructure to support it? To what degree is digitalization changing production activities? We talk about data and systems that communicate with one another and machines that self-organize. We take a look at what FST has already carried out and consider areas with the potential for further development. In an interview, CFO Ludger Neuwinger-Heimes describes the opportunities and risks posed by the digital transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Freudenberg Process Seals, which has been part of Freudenberg Industrial Services since 2017, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. After starting out with roughly a dozen employees, it now has a staff of nearly 70. FST\u2019s business with the process industry is flourishing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FST has invested in new test stands at its Weinheim facility. Simmerring\u00ae test facilities are a key component of FST\u2019s technological expertise and capacity to innovate, and the test facility in Weinheim is now getting new test stands and other equipment. The investments are centered on electric mobility, yet another of FST\u2019s core strategic themes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
