On July 7, despite mixed weather, 603 teams from 279 companies competed in a 15K relay race (five legs, 3 kilometers long in each case) known as the \u201cCompany Relay 2022\u201d in Magdeburg, \u00adGermany. One team was from the Lead \u00adCenter High Performance Plastics in Biere, a unit of Freudenberg Sealing Technologies (FST). Led by Team Captain \u00adFranziska Ackemann, the five-person team competed in the \u201cmen\u2019s\u201d category and came in 86th out of 186 teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A part of the Components Division, the Lead \u00adCenter includes facilities in Findlay (USA) and Taicang (China), in addition to the Biere site. The 35 employees at the German site handle the compounding of polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) mixtures. PTFE is an important high-performance material for shaft seal rings, special seals and fluid power applications, and is used in many industries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
