Dear Readers,

In this edition, we address another of the core strategic issues for Freudenberg Sealing Technologies (FST). This time, we turn our attention to two new topics, Pharma and Healthcare. Much like the occupational health and food/beverage markets, they offer substantial long-term potential for the company. Demographic change and a growing global population are driving demand in these fields, as is the trend toward rising average ages in some regions. The changes are offering FST good prospects for the future. In an interview, Nicole Schneider, Vice President, Global Process Industry, offers insights into FST’s strategy for the process industry, which covers these segments.

As we do every year in June, we are presenting the winning teams in FST‘s “We all take care!” competition in this edition. In all, 25 locations have submitted 39 projects that make work safer and protect the environment and employee health. They simultaneously reflect the company’s commitment to social responsibility.

After more than 30 years, Guido Brüggemann, the former Managing Director of the Zürich Service Center, is passing the baton to his successor. Learn how each of them thinks about their decades-long collaboration and how FST will now be moving forward in Switzerland.

Many people live in urban settings, right on major thoroughfares. Our colleague, Dan Keys, in Cleveland (USA) shows that it‘s equally possible to live in a hangar, right on the airport’s tarmac.

We hope you enjoy our latest edition of Sealing World.
