The winners of the Saare County Entrepreneurship Awards were announced in mid-October. The recipients included Freudenberg Sealing Technologies (FST) as “Employer of the Year 2021.” FST’s partner production operation, MERINVEST, in Kuressaare has been producing diaphragms and O-rings for years.

“I am pleased that we were not just nominated but we even made it onto the winner’s podium. This is recognition of the continual development of our business in Estonia as well as the long-term relationships that we have been striving for. It also shows that our collaboration with Lead Centers in Germany has paid off,” Site Executive Manager Kaupo Kirs said.
ABOUT THE AWARD
Various factors went into the decision, including the number of employees, personnel costs, the number of new or additional positions, and the share of above-average wages. This is the highest local honor for companies whose activities have had a positive impact on life in Saare County, its development, and its employment and income levels. The county is home to the most new companies per inhabitant in Estonia.
